Relief Applications (https://reliefapplications.org/) is a European-based organization dedicated to serving the international humanitarian and development sectors. Established in 2014 by an experienced IT professional and a seasoned humanitarian, our mission is to bridge the gap between humanitarian work and cutting-edge technology. By developing innovative IT tools, we aim to enhance the efficiency and impact of humanitarian organizations worldwide.
Our core services include:
Custom Software Development: Tailored solutions to address the specific needs of humanitarian organizations, including data collection, analysis, and visualization tools.
Digital Transformation: Supporting organizations in adopting advanced technologies to streamline operations and improve decision-making.

About the Internship
As an IT intern at Relief Applications, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative tools that drive impactful humanitarian work. Collaborating with experts across various sectors, you will gain hands-on experience and mentorship while playing an active role in shaping the tools and solutions we deliver to our partners.
EDUCATION
Degree in IT/Computer Science/Engineering
REQUIRED SKILLS
Good English, both written and spoken;
Have a passion for coding;
Strong team player with can-do attitude;
Technical skills:
backend : Python (Django or NodeJs)
frontend: Angular
Git for version management
Understanding of AI concepts with a focus on machine learning;
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Experience will be valued

NICE TO HAVE

Experience with Docker containers
Experience with RESTful APIs
Contact with other programming languages such as JavaScript or TypeScript;
Spanish or French fluency
What We’re Looking For
A passion for technology and its application in the humanitarian and development sectors.
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or PHP.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, databases, or web development is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

CONDITIONS
An internship agreement;
Minimum 6 months duration
Location Remote with travel (France, Spain, Switzerland)
The intern must prove that s/he will be enrolled in university for as long as the internship takes place
